This set of etched beads is one of the first sets of lampwork beads I
bought. I kept them for myself for the longest time but finally
decided that they would be much more attractive on a bangle than in a
little bag in my stash. They are made by Kazan Beads of Australia.
I love her use of neutral colors to create beautiful patterns. The
beads are etched to a silky smooth finish that you will be tempted to
touch all day long. The core of the bangle is sterling
silver. The metal focal bead that I made to go with these beads is
made by wrapping 1/2 round sterling silver wire over a copper wire, then
taking that wrapped wire and winding it carefully into the shape you want
for your bead. I like the way the copper peaks out from under the
sterling silver. In addition to the Kazan beads there are Greek
ceramics, African bone, African "sugared" glass, A Karen Hilltribe pleated
bead and a Hilltribe stamped charm. This bangle fits up to a 7.25"
wrist and can easily be made smaller by adjusting or changing the clasp.
