~Wild Thing~

Wild Thing- "Wild thing, you make my heart sing.
You make everything groovy now." Do you remember that song? "Wild
thing, I think I love you" and then the music takes off. If you remember
the song these lyrics are from I am afraid you have just dated yourself.
I do remember them, and all the fun we had singing that song. I finished
this bracelet and I suppose because of the tiger stripes, that song kept
going through my mind, so Wild Thing it became. The focal bead by Kathy Perras, striking in its simplicity, was the motivation for this brangle. I used 14K gold filled wire for all the wire work. I added some tiger stripe beads made by other artists and lots of African Trade Beads. The black and white dotted one, the black and yellow swirled one and the black and yellow small one used as a charm are antique beads used in the African trade and are at least 100 years old. Also used in this brangle are Greek ceramic beads and a couple of beads made in modern Africa. (There are matching earrings on the earrings page.) The brangle fits up to a 7.25" wrist. $96.00 |
