Boro- Look at the designs that Kimberly Watanabe created with
these borosilite glass beads. Usually bead artists are not quite so
precise with the patterns and the glass blends creating lovely swirls of
color. These beads do not do that. Instead they have a strong
pattern with vivid color. Boroscilite glass is sort of like a
chameleon, becoming brighter and more vivid in the sun or bright light.
The photo on the right is in sunlight and the photo on the left is in my
table top studio with a couple of spot lights on it. I hand cut and stamped a piece of sterling silver sheet and wired a small jasper doughnut, trade bead and a small Bali bead to it. In addition there are Bali beads, Greek ceramics another lampwork bead in the dangle, and 14 ga. sterling silver as the frame of the brangle. Fits up to a 7.5" wrist and can be made smaller.
